SCUF Gaming Celebrates 10th Year Sponsoring Envy and OpTic Brands

Latest Deal Features Official Controller Naming Rights, Strengthening Bond Between SCUF and Elgato and the Leading Esports Organization

ATLANTA, GA (April 28) – SCUF Gaming, the leading creator of high-performance and custom gaming controllers and accessories, celebrates its 10th year supporting the OpTic and Envy esports and entertainment brands with an expanded six-figure sponsorship deal that names SCUF the Official Controller of the OpTic Texas team in the Call of Duty League, as well as the OpTic Gaming and Envy brands.

Envy Gaming brought together Envy and OpTic, two of the winningest esports organizations in the history of controller esports, in a merger in late 2021. The expanded sponsorship includes logo placement for SCUF on the OpTic Halo, OpTic Texas, and organization’s Rocket League jerseys. It also gives SCUF first right of refusal as the official controller partner for any future controller-based esports teams the organization may add.

“As a foundational partner for both the OpTic and Envy brands, we’re excited to see this long-standing relationship flourish and evolve,” said Diego Nunez, VP Marketing at CORSAIR. “Witnessing the growth of these brands over the years has been thrilling, and we can’t wait to continue this journey together, working side by side to provide gamers access to the best professional gaming equipment on the market.”

Elgato, sister brand to SCUF within parent company CORSAIR, will also sponsor the organization outfitting Hector “HECZ” Rodriguez and creators across the OpTic and Envy brands with its industry leading streaming equipment.

SCUF and Elgato plan to work in tandem at live events and on the production of various content campaigns, and launch product collaborations and limited drops such as the new OpTic Gaming controller that debuted today. SCUF and Elgato will also support the organization’s content creator network, such as live streamed Call of Duty: Warzone tournaments led by Zack “ZLaner” Lane.

“Continuing our decade-long partnership is another example of showcasing how to play the best you have to use and partner with the best,” said Shay Butler, vice president of sales and partnerships at Envy Gaming. “We’re excited to continue to work with SCUF and Elgato to push competition and the industry forward.”
