ACER AND ENVY GAMING RENEW AND EXPAND ESPORTS PARTNERSHIP
Sponsorship includes best-in-class hardware for esports teams, content series, and collaboration on community philanthropic programs
DALLAS (April 14) – Industry-leading developer of gaming products Acer and Dallas-based esports and entertainment organization Envy Gaming announced today the renewal and expansion of a sponsorship that began in 2019. The new agreement will see Acer exclusively outfit all of Envy’s competitive esports teams – including the world champion Dallas Empire in the Call of Duty League, the Dallas Fuel in the Overwatch League, and Team Envy in Rocket League and Valorant – with Predator gaming hardware.
A top pick among esports and gaming enthusiasts, Predator gaming hardware – including monitors, laptops, desktops and more – will also be used by staff and in the Predator Gaming Lounge at Envy’s 21,000-square-foot headquarters and practice facility in downtown Dallas.
“Acer and the Predator gaming brand have been heavily invested in esports and we’ve both enjoyed the successes of our partnership since first working with them in 2019,” said Shay Butler, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Envy Gaming. “We have a reputation for giving the best to our players, and providing the right equipment is an important part of that. Partnering with Predator allows our teams to compete at the highest level.”
One of the key components of the expanded partnership is the support Acer is pledging for the recently announced Envy Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing communities together through gaming initiatives. Acer will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Envy Foundation Esports in Education Grant Program, which will help fund underserved schools in Texas that are launching or growing esports programs. Grant applications will launch this summer.
“We’ve seen great growth in our content and the strength of the Predator gaming brand through our esports partnership with Envy the past two years,” said Richard Black, Vice President of Marketing at Acer. “We can’t wait to continue expanding our esports ecosystem with new products and support of organizations like Envy that are dedicated to helping people reach their potential in gaming.”
Predator consistently ranks among the top three choices for gamers purchasing monitors, gaming laptops, and pre-built gaming desktop computers. In recent years, Acer has been progressively developing its gaming touchpoints to include Predator gaming hardware, Predator League esports tournaments, PredatorShot beverages, and the PLANET9 social platform.
