Envy Gaming, Inc. is the owner and operator of global esports franchise Team Envy, the Dallas Fuel team in the Overwatch League, the Dallas Empire team in the Call of Duty League, and a founding member of Flashpoint, a professional tournament series for competitive CS:GO. Founded as a professional Call of Duty team in 2007, owner Mike Rufail has grown the Dallas-based organization into one of the largest and most-winning esports groups in the world.
Today, Envy competes, streams and produces content across multiple gaming titles including Call of Duty, CS:GO, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros, and Valorant. In 2019, Forbes ranked Envy Gaming as the 8th Most Valuable Esports Organization in the World.
Envy is recognized as one of the most-winning franchises of all time in Call of Duty and Counter-Strike esports competition and is the first North American esports organization to win an Overwatch championship on Korean soil. Team Envy owns the Guinness World Record for the longest winning streak in Overwatch by any team.
Significant Envy wins in recent years include the 2019 Overwatch Contenders: North America West Season 1 championship, the 2018 Esports Superstars: Paladins championship, the 2017 Overwatch Contenders: North America championship, the World Electronic Sports Games 2017 Counter-Strike championship, the 2016 Call of Duty World Championship and the 2016 Overwatch APEX championship. Envy provides dedicated coaching staffs, team managers, personal fitness trainers and mental health coaches to support its network of professional esports teams. In 2016, Envy was named Esports Team of the Year.
The Dallas Fuel is one of 20 teams competing in the Overwatch League, the city-based esports league created by Activision Blizzard. The Dallas Fuel are the most-followed team on social media in the Overwatch League, reached the stage playoffs in each of the 2018 and 2019 seasons and hosted the first home games in esports history, as 9,000 fans attended a two-day, sold out live event in North Texas featuring two Fuel home matches.
The Dallas Empire are one of 12 teams selected to the inaugural season of the Call of Duty League. The team features a roster of new talent and experience, including two of the three most-winning Call of Duty players of all time, as ranked by prize money. The Dallas Empire were the first team in league history to win two Call of Duty League Home Series titles.
Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Envy is led by owner Mike Rufail and CEO Adam Rymer, with strategic investment partners Ken Hersh and Hersh Interactive Group. Additional partners include professional poker player Fedor Holz, with investment from prominent local investors and Texas families, and select national investors.
